PARTNER EVENTS
Over the years, Cycleworx has partnered and provides service at many local cycling events. This partnership continues their drive to contribute positively to cycling in South Africa, and where possible, ensure that cyclists participating in these events are well taken care of, and that their bikes are in perfect working order every day when they get to the starting line.
In addition to providing service packages, you may well come across Cycleworx at events where we provide a retail service, making sure that we have all the various bits and pieces available to buy which you may have forgotten when packing for your race.
Below is an outline of what to expect if you book a service package at any one of the events where we are present:.
- When you arrive at the event before the start of your ride, we will give your bike a quick check to make sure you are ready to go.
- This includes checking of your gears, brakes and making sure your tire pressure is as per your need.
- Once you have completed each day of the event, you bring your bike to us in the Support Village.
- We have brilliant mechanics that will take good care of your bikes, and make sure they are in amazing working order at the start of every stage.
- We will wash your bikes before giving them a thorough check at the end of every day.
- We generally keep the bikes overnight and you collect them from us in the morning so that we can lube and check tire pressures before you get cracking.
- The service fee you pay for each event covers all labor, servicing, cleaning materials, and lubricants.
- It excludes parts or costs generated to source parts not readily available from the race support village.
- This service fee has to be paid upfront.
- Any additional costs related to specific parts that need to be sourced and replaced will be charged the night before the start of the last day of the event.
- Riders are welcome to supply a box of spares. If you do, we ask that you supply your personal spares in a marked box to make sure they are not lost.
- We do request that you supply essential spares specific to your bike as most times each bike comes with specific thing not necessarily easily available i.e. Derra hangers, seat clamps, etc
- We also ask that you provide any other info that may help us give you a better service, whatever that might be.
