Stanton to Thorpe Mandeville
I planned a shortish day after the big ride the day before. From Stanton I headed in the direction of Swineshead and would see his the day goes.
We soon arrived in Warwickshire which is Shakespeare’s county and although we were close to his birthplace, Stratford on Avon my route did not include it.
We did visit Chipping Cambden which is famous for its work done by artisans such as silversmiths etc. Again it had a beautiful church.
Having skirted all the big cities we did wander into Banbury to replenish our supplies and then headed out to Thorpe Mandeville to camp overnight. I spotted a nice quiet churchyard and it turned into a great campsite.
We had a few drops of rain during the night and while it was reasonably dry we packed up early to head for Swineshead in Bedfordshire……..
