Went into Banglestown to visit a communication store and voilà!! Here I am on the net at a cost of 20 euros and a few minutes I was connected to 48 Go Conquer. Thanks for the great service Owen Rae Communications.
The weather forecast was rain for today. Well they were right all three drops fell as I set off at 12h30 headed for Boriss via Garyhill. Yet another beautiful village with the manor house in the village dating back to the 1400’s.
Leaving Boriss I passed under a viaduct on the windy road towards the famous Mount Leinster that has often been part of the Ras route. This proved to be every bit as “fierce” a climb as I had been warned. The view from the top was breathtaking as the whole county lay below with Carlow town in the distance.
After dinner I was treated to a genuine Guiness in the Fighting Cock. Thanks Billy Connors.
