From Louvain we ride through to Uniondale and onto an old wagon trail, built by Thomas Bain in the 1800’s. The trail leads over the Potjies Berg mountain to the top of the Prince Alfred’s Pass, from where we descend for 17 km past rock pools and waterfalls. We overnight at the Outeniqua Trout Lodge nestled in the De Vlugt valley.

Day Four:
We depart the Trout Farm and start climbing the second half of the Prince Alfred’s Pass, up to Buffels Nek with beautiful views. While the going can get a little tough, remember that a back-up vehicle is on standby should your legs cry for help.
